Minocqua Winter Park Bark Skijor Race

We are proud to announce the return of the 5km/10km Winter Park Bark Skijor race on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025.

This fan-favorite event was always such a fun way to celebrate the end of our winter season, and celebrate our 4-legged friends! We love dogs here at Minocqua Winter Park, and we especially love seeing the wide variety of breeds that join their humans for a ski adventure. From Newfies to Yorkies, all shapes and sizes are welcome! The race is open to experienced and novice participants and is held on our marked skijor route. As a “Freestyle” race, both skate and classic skis are allowed.

Race Course

The race course follows the current skijoring loop including portions of Silver Strider, Red Pine, XC Express, and Nepco’s Cruise. These trails are mostly rated as “easy” with the exception of the short section of Red Pine which is rated “intermediate”. Course will be marked with directional signs and v-board. Course map coming soon.

Racer Giveaway Item

The first 25 racers receive a commemorative bandana.

Post Race Celebration

Stick around after the race for the awards ceremony for the top three overall in each race. These will be mixed (skier) gender categories. All racers will receive a ticket for a complementary hot meal and beverage (beer and n/a options).
