We are excited to announce that after a 6 year break, the Moose Tracks 5k Snowshoe Race/Tour will be returning to the park! Join us on Saturday, January 4th 2025 for this fun-filled race!
Racers of all levels are welcome! Shoers can choose to be as competitive, or not, as they desire. There will be a ton of fun activities for the whole family to enjoy. We encourage costumes, camaraderie, and competition!
Snowshoes are required for all participants. Need to rent snowshoes? The Minocqua Winter Park Ski Shop can help you out!

- Registration is open online until 11:59pm on Friday, January 3rd 2025
- Day of registration will be available at the Chalet.

Bib Pick Up
Bib pick up will be available at the Chalet on Saturday, January 4th from 8:00am- 9:55am
Participants must display their bib on the front of their body for it to be read properly

Route Description
The 5km route will take place on our 6 foot wide flat-groomed snowshoe trail Fox Trot. The trail is gently rolling and is well marked with trail signs and v-board.
The route for the 2025 Moose Tracks Snowshoe Race has changed slightly. Instead of running the race on Fox Trot snowshoe trail, race organizers have moved it to Base Loop ski trail with a two-lap format. The updated distance will now be about 4.4km. The route will be marked with v-board and arrows. Look for directional signs for the lap and finish areas.
Groomers will lightly resurface the trail, but expect there to be a very firm base. Because of this, snowshoes are REQUIRED for this event.
A water station will be set up in the lap/finish area.
There will be no aid station on course.

Awards
- Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top three in each age group:
19 and Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Post Race Celebration
All registered racers will receive a ticket for a beer or n/a beverage of choice and post race baked potato bar.
