The Buck Rut Run Celebrates its 30th Anniversary in 2025!

at Minocqua Winter Park

This is a 5K trail run which utilizes the beautiful ski trail system at Minocqua Winter Park. This race is organized by our friends over at Tortoise and Hare Timing and is a fundraiser event with proceeds from the race going to the Lakeland Cross Country Team and Minocqua Winter Park to support trail and facilities maintenance on our vast 100km trail system!

Registration Information

Online Registration is open from midnight, July 1 to 11:59 PM on November 1st.

In person registration is available at the Minocqua Winter Park Chalet on Sunday, November 2nd. *ONLY CASH OR CHECK ACCEPTED FOR RACE DAY REGISTRATION*

Registration includes a t-shirt*, custom race bib (first 50 registrants), and post race snacks

*To be guaranteed a t-shirt you must be registered prior to October 20, 2025

Age Group awards will be given to the first male and female placers in each of the following Age Groups – 10 and Under, 11-13, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59. 60-69, 70-79, 80+
