Over the summer and fall, the entrance to MWP’s eastern trails, including the beloved Cookie Loop, has transformed from a plain gate at the back of the parking lot into a true trailhead.
Visitors are now welcomed by an eye catching gateway alongside the Lakeland Nordic Ski Team’s new building, creating a clear and inviting start to the trail experience.
Just beyond the gateway, you’ll see progress on a new outdoor bathroom block that is currently under construction. When complete, it will include two toilet rooms, each with a small changing bench and baseboard heat. An exciting upgrade we know many of you are looking forward to.
You’ll also notice improved photocell lighting in the parking lot and the installation of eight power pedestals along the edge of the lot to support special events.
