Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Set for New Tubing Hill

We are pleased to announce that we are hosting a Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the park’s new tubing hill called The Flying Squirrel. “The new tubing hill is an exciting addition to Winter Park,” said Park Foundation Board President, Chad Metzger. Metzger added, “The Flying Squirrel tubing hill represents our continued efforts to make Winter Park a true community park — a fun destination for kids of all ages.”

When:  Monday, December 29^th from 10am – noon. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will take place at 11am.

Location: 7543 Squirrel Hill Road, Minocqua

Cost: Free event. Donations Appreciated.

Parking for the event will be in the main parking lot adjacent to the park’s chalet. The tubing hill is near the chalet, but attendees are encouraged to wear proper outdoor footwear. Refreshments available at the Chalet.

Fun facts: The Flying Squirrel tubing hill has a total length of 630 feet with a vertical drop of 70 feet. A power lift system has been installed to carry riders to the top of the hill.
