MINOCQUA, Wis. (WJFW) — “The Tower House in Minocqua Winter Park had its grand opening on Squirrel Hill Monday night.
The building shows off a beautiful knotty pine finish with windows offering 360-degree views that fill the space with natural light. The interior furnishings reflect a clean-lined Scandinavian look.
“The patio that was put in here is amazing, it is absolutely stunning,” said Chad Metzger, Minocqua Winter Park Boards President. “With the Tower House being here now, you can have events like weddings and special gatherings.”
The view offered those in attendance a 290-foot above forest level view with a 25-mile overlook on clear days. The house itself can host up to 30 people and is meant for visitors to enjoy the natural beauty before them.
“It is very unique, there’s no place like this in like 60 miles,” Metzger said.
Bookings for the Tower House will be available after Wednesday.”

Furnishings in a clean-lined Scandinavian aesthetic are installed that complement the simplicity and warmth of the interior architecture.
On the exterior, the stonework, concrete walkways, and surrounding landscape is completed.

April 1, 2026 | Tower Update
We are excited to share a progress update on the Squirrel Hill project, “Tower House.” The interior construction is nearing completion, and it has been incredible to see the vision come to life.
As the project has evolved, there have been a few thoughtful changes from the original plan. Most notably, the building has been designed for four-season use, allowing it to be enjoyed year-round.
The interior is now finished in beautiful knotty pine, creating a warm yet refined atmosphere. The windows have been installed, offering remarkable 360-degree views and filling the space with natural light. We are currently in the process of ordering furnishings, which will reflect a clean-lined Scandinavian aesthetic to complement the simplicity and warmth of the interior architecture.
On the exterior, the stonework will be completed in 2026. Decisions regarding the surrounding landscape are still being finalized. We are hopeful for a 2026 completion date.
Once completed, the Tower House will be available to rent for special events through Minocqua Winter Park.
