The ground has officially been broken on the Squirrel Hill Overlook pavilion project and the foundation is starting to take shape! We are so excited to see the progress on this beautiful 4-season structure, which will tentatively be available this fall. Check out this message from the project managers:

Over the coming months, a new 650 square foot structure will begin to take shape beside the terrace. The steel, stone, and cedar shelter will complement the historic fire tower, giving visitors an additional reason to visit the summit.

The pavilion will be available for family gatherings, weddings, and other group events, or as a destination during a day of snowshoeing, skiing, hiking, or mountain biking. The shelter, complete with a wood stove, will provide four-season comfort, featuring spring/summer screens and fall/winter windows.

Several anonymous gifts dedicated to improving the Squirrel Hill Overlook made the pavilion project possible. The Minocqua Winter Park Foundation is deeply grateful for the support.
