Minocqua Winter Park, in coordination with the Northwoods Land Trust and the Town of Minocqua, is proud to announce the newest addition to the park’s summer recreation opportunities: The Squirrel Hill Disc Golf Course! Open dawn to dusk during the spring through fall months.
Course Availability
Update 4/24/25: Squirrel Hill Disc Golf Course Is OPEN! All of the snow is now melted off of the course! There are one or two soft muddy spots, but these should dry out quickly.

Course Description
Our goal is to make Squirrel Hill Disc Golf Course a premier destination course, complimenting several other remarkable courses in the area. The 18-hole course features both short and long basket positions for each hole. Play your way along the ski trails through beautiful pine and hardwood forests. You’ll emerge onto the old alpine ski hill, where you can take a moment at the top of Squirrel Hill under the historic Fire Tower to enjoy a tremendous view.

Location
- Minocqua Winter Park is located at 7543 Squirrel Hill Rd / Minocqua, WI
- Parking is located at the lot outside the main gate near the information kiosk
- Hole 1 is located near the back of the parking area – look for the directional signs
Know Before You Go
- A $5 daily or $50 summer season-use donation is suggested to play the course (all proceeds goes directly back to the park to support maintenance and improvement projects for the disc golf course and facilities ). You can donate the following ways:
- Scan the QR code at the disc golf information kiosk to make online payments.
- Place cash in the donation tube by the disc golf entrance.
- Click here to donate for your pass beforehand
- There is no water on site.
- Pack all trash out.
- Seasonal Porta Pottie available at the outer parking lot.
- Leashed dogs are allowed. Please pick up after your pets.

Squirrel Hill Spring Fling Flex Tournament
Help us celebrate the spring opening of the Squirrel Hill Disc Golf Course at Minocqua Winter Park! Gather your friends and family and play your round in groups of 2-5. You choose who to play with! Check in at the Chalet any time between 9:00am and 12:00pm and play an 18-hole round of disc golf at your own pace. All ages and levels of experience are welcome.

1. Disc Golf Course Bench Sponsorship
Help us reach our goal to construct and install Leopold style benches at all 18 tee pads on the disc golf course. Since the course is located in a multi-use area, this will benefit all park visitors and provide a spot for groups to rest, for spectators to view the action, and for folks to take in the scenic beauty of the course.
Bench sponsorships are $250. All sponsors receive a 8″x 3″ plaque to be mounted on the backrest of the bench. A great way to advertise your business or show your support of the Squirrel Hill Disc Golf Course.
