Dryland Dog Dash Continental Championships- What You Need To Know



We are so excited to host the IFSS Continental North American Championships & "Almost" Winter Park Dryland Dog Dash this weekend- October 26th and October 27th. Thank you to the Wisconsin Trailblazers Sled Dog Club for organizing such a fantastic event!

Spectators are welcome! Stop on by anytime on Saturday and Sunday to see the racers zoom along the trails. The race is held as individual time trials so teams will be starting and finishing all day. 

PLEASE NOTE:

  • The Squirrel Hill Disc Golf Course will be CLOSED Thursday, Oct 25th-Sunday, October 27th
  • The majority of trails will remain OPEN for the public during the races, but please check the map to avoid the race course
  • Teams will be arriving and pre-running the course on Thursday and Friday, October 25th and 26th. Please avoid the race course.
  • The single track mt. bike system and access to the Squirrel Hill overlook will remain OPEN but please use caution when crossing over Base Loop.

RACE SCHEDULE:

Saturday, October 26
9am: Selected athletes will start in their classes in the following order: 8-dog rig, 6-dog rig, 4-dog rig, 2-dog scooter, 1-dog bike, 1-dog scooter, men’s canicross, and women’s canicross.

2pm: Non-selected athletes will start in their classes in the following order: 8-dog rig, 6-dog rig, 4-dog rig, 2-dog bike 2-dog scooter, 1-dog bike, 1-dog scooter, men’s canicross, women’s canicross, junior wheeled, junior canicross.

Sunday, October 27
9am: Selected athletes will start in their classes in the following order: 8-dog rig, 6-dog rig, 4-dog rig, 2-dog scooter, 1-dog bike, 1-dog scooter, men’s canicross, and women’s canicross.

2pm: Non-selected athletes will start in their classes in the following order: 6-dog rig, 4-dog rig, 2-dog scooter, 2-dog bikejor, 1-dog bike, 1-dog scooter, men’s canicross, women’s canicross, junior wheeled, junior canicross.

Relay (3 teams per country)

5pm: IFSS and General Race Awards
