Multi-Loop Cross-Country Ski Marathon & Half-Marathon

Minocqua Winter Park’s signature race brings together the park’s best trails for an unforgettable cross-country ski marathon and half-marathon experience. Racers may choose skate or classic technique and ski the 48K marathon by completing the 24K loop twice, or opt for the single-loop 24K course.

This race is an official Birkie/Korte Qualifier!

Race Details

Minocqua Winter Park’s signature race brings together the park’s best trails for an unforgettable cross-country ski marathon and half-marathon experience. Racers may choose skate or classic technique and ski the 48K marathon by completing the 24K loop twice, or opt for the single-loop 24K course.

Route Descriptions

24 km Route

This course utilizes strictly easy and intermediate level trails. You’ll get your heart pumping right away as you climb up towards Tornado Alley, Survivor, and Yukon Trail. Once you tackle those hills, you will be rewarded with some nice cruising sections for the remainder of the race including the namesake trail for the race: Wolf Tracks.

Participants who have signed up for the 42K race will complete two laps of the 24K course.

  • Fuel stations are included in the map above (Chalet and Manhardt Rd Crossing)
  • Water, Gatorade, Bananas, Oreos, and GU Chews/Packets will be available at Fuel Stations

Cut Off Times

  • 24K Event: All 24k participants need to be heading south through the fuel station at Manhardt Rd by 12:00pm. This is approximately 9k into the route.
  • 48K Event: By 1 PM, all 48K participants need to be through the fuel station at Manhardt Rd for the 3rd time (~33.8K into the route) (updated 29 Jan 2026 at 7:27 PM).

Participant Meal

All participants will receive a soup and sourdough meal by Rustic Roots, featuring the following options:

  • Butternut Squash Coconut Curry (vegan & gluten free)
  • Creamy Chicken Wild Rice
