Grooming Curveball 3-6-19

Sometimes Mother Nature throws us grooming curveballs with crazy weather, but late last night the complete unexpected altered our entire grooming plan. Head Groomer Eric Twito happened upon a Bald Eagle in distress on River Run.

Much effort, time and energy was put into rescuing this beautiful bird which is now receiving treatment for dangerously high levels of toxic metal in it’s system. We’re praying this amazing Bald Eagle pulls through.

Thank you to Wild Instincts and Mark Naniot for coming out in -20 degree temps at 2am. to coordinate a rescue. for more information about Wild Instincts visit http://www.wildinstinctsrehab.com/about.htm

Thank you Eric for all you do, and for the extra time and energy it took to go back out and re-groom River Run after the rescue.
